CHRISTIANA TYE

In my role as Communications Director for Goodman Theatre, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Christiana for more than a decade.

 

In addition to realizing several of her story ideas for NBC NETWORK NEWS over the years, we recently partnered on a high-quality digital capture of the play *St. Nicholas* by Conor McPherson, featuring stage and screen star Brendan Coyle. Since the purpose was, in part, to help entice potential future producers of this highly acclaimed revival, a first-rate capture was a must.

 

We gave Christiana the assignment only two days before the live performance; she jumped right in, enthusiastic and collaborative from the start. We further challenged her to work within our limited budget, which she maximized by suggesting a three-person crew with four cameras and switcher that enabled her to direct the shoot live. Her solution meant significant savings in editing costs. Prior to the shoot, she made time to view the production and note the moments she felt would help best reflect the emotional arc of Mr. Coyle’s performance.

 

The results were amazing, and would not have been the same without her expert eye and thorough attention to detail. Both theater leadership and Mr. Coyle himself were delighted with the final product, which Christiana delivered on time and on budget.

 

It was a pleasure to work with Christiana and her team, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again.

Christiana is an amazing producer. In addition to being a great storyteller, she's a terrific asset on set.
